The preferential voting system has always left me cold with its requirement that I vote for people I do not want to even acknowledge, let alone cast a vote for. In addition, I always vote below the line in the Senate elections because to vote above the line is to toe the line of the “faceless men” who direct your vote to their benefit.
This video explains a method of voting below the line which has the advantage of casting your vote for the sane and sensible, in the order that you want to support them, and without having to cast any of your votes for the lunatics on the ballot paper.
